Just 20 minutes from the international airport and once just a small fishing village, Jimbaran offers an immersion into the deep roots of Bali life, away from the tourist hot spots. Located on the southernmost point of the island, the area is known for its breathtaking cliffside views, peaceful beaches, secluded coves and verdant tropical forests. Still very attached to many cultural traditions, the temple in front of Jimbaran market is a center for regular celebrations.
Situated on one of the area’s iconic rolling hilltops, The Longhouse boasts one of the most dramatic views in Jimbaran. A short downhill drive from The Longhouse takes you past the charming roadside restaurants, chic boutique shops and seafood stalls that the area is famed for, before arriving at the white sandy beach and calm waters of Jimbaran Bay. South of The Longhouse, the ruggedly beautiful Bukit Peninsula boasts soaring limestone cliffs which descend to scenic coves pounded by some of the best surf breaks in the world.
On check-in, guests are provided with our insider’s guide of “Things to do and see near The Longhouse”. Many of the staff live nearby and will be able to give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of Bali life.
